NEW Crosman .22 CALIBER 10.1″ RIFLED STEEL BARREL for 2240, 1740, 2300, 2250, 2400 Air Guns (pellet pistols, carbines).This Crosman part is freshly new (not old stock).This length of this barrel is the finished factory length of the 2300 series guns (and also the length of the Lothar Walther barrels), but is usually not available in .22 caliber from Crosman except through the Crosman Custom Shop. IF I have some from the CCS, then no cut and crown will be required. If not, then I will have to cut a longer stock barrel to 10.1 and crown it. In that case, the front flat will be gone.10.1″ is a great length for a target pistol or a stubby carbine… or to add an LDC or muzzle brake to.When required, I professionally cut and crown these from longer barrels. I do it all the time for custom lengths and customer requests.My crowns are done on the lathe and are prettier than what I see on a Crosman barrels. Since the factory crown is removed, the lathe crowning tool followed by the lapping tool make them as straight and true as stock.I touch up the very end face with bluing touch up pen and then treat the entire exterior with Eezox as I do with ALL barrels both when I receive them and as they are shipped.If cut and crowned, the barrel will no longer have the little milled flat at the barrel end that is for nothing more than making the installation of the stock plastic front sight a tad easier. You will still be able to use that sight. Just get it where you want it and then lightly tap it on. Works every time.This part is completely ready for you to install into your Crosman pellet pistol or carbine. With every order, I will ship same day or next business day. It is for example / illustration of what an 18″ barrel carbine looks like with a 3″ muzzle brake.Other than the Crosman Custom Shop guns, you don’t see the 18″ factory barrel on these guns, but in my opinion it is a really great length for a carbine.It has enough length for good power gains and is really just right even when a muzzle brake or LDC is added. The 24″ is a bit long and adding to it with either of those accessories really gets them out there… possibly too far. Remember if you are changing calibers (from .177 to .22) you’ll need a probe change as well. Barrel band will depend on the model you are converting.When available I provide a Crosman factory 18″ barrel. When unavailable, we professionally cut and crown these from new but longer 24″ 2260 barrels. I do it all the time for custom guns and customer requests.Crosman barrels and their factory crowns are usually found to be very accurate… although not the most beautiful to look at, but then again they are almost always covered up with a front sight or a muzzle brake, etc. If I do cut and crown a 24″ barrel to get your 18″ barrel, then know that my crowns are done on the lathe and are prettier than those on a Crosman barrel.
